I purchased this rotary hammer new, not reconditioned. It's pretty much as powerful as corded rotary hammers. It seems to run more blows per second than similarly-sized corded hammers, but each blow is not as powerful. So pretty much whatever you can do with a corded hammer of similar size, you can do with this cordless hammer. Drilling 3/4 inch holes in concrete to a depth of 8 inches, you can do about 15 holes before needing a recharge. In other words, about 15-20 minutes of hard use between battery charges. Everything is well built and designed. The charge indicator on the batteries is useful. The charger is an odd triangle shape, but otherwise well designed with a fan to pull air through the battery packs during heavy recharging.
