This is without question the most well constructed and engineered power tool I've ever owned and it's the best performing cordless drill I've used in my work.
It easily outperforms my previous Bosch and Makita cordless drills and it even shows more steady power than the old lame DeWalt corded drill I inherited.
Of course the price is proportional - but I have to say that these days that's as it should be. And frankly, I'm willing to pay extra to a manufacturer who builds a stellar product. Festool is one of those companies.
I don't see why I'd invest in any other type of cordless drill after using this one. I expect the drill to last me for years, likely a decade or longer, so it's likely a moot point.
