This drill is actually the second one of these I have purchased. I bought the first one to use for light duty repairs in building maintenance at work. It's balance, long battery life and light weight were all so good, I bought I second one for use at home. It can't do what a high-torque 1/2 inch battery drill might do, but it definitely can do over 90% of what I need both at home and work. It is especially well designed for fast removal and replacement of screws in just about anything. My only concern so far has been that Skil has been slow to make the Lithium-Ion batteries available for separate purchase. I wanted to have a spare for longer tasks, and the batteries are not widely available. The battery charges relatively quickly and can be charged either on the drill or separated from it.
